Alliance2015 are hosting a 'Learning Roundtable on Resilience, Hunger and Poverty' in Dublin on 7 December. A livestream of the event will be available here.
This event is a follow-up to the Alliance2015 Roundtable on Scaling up EU Impact on Community Resilience and Nutrition which took place in Dublin in 2013 which took place just at the outset of Ireland's EU Presidency. It brought together speakers from the donor community, Alliance2015 implementers, partner country governments and researchers.
Almost five years on, we can now talk about the impacts of resilience focussed programmes and look forward to what the next generation of interventions might look like.
Thursday's event commences at 09:15 (GMT) with opening remarks from Concern CEO, Dominic MacSorley followed by an opening address from the Director General of Irish Aid, Ruairí De Burca. This will be followed by a series of panel discussions.
Session one: 'What do we know about resilience?' commences at 09:45
Session two: 'What do we (still) need to know to build effective responses' commences at 11.45
Session three: 'How are resilience policies evolving?' commences at 14.30
A livestream of the event will start here on 7 December at 09:15 am (GMT).
